Solving Your Sweet Potato Sorting Problems
Month: April 2026
We’ve been involved with sweet potato sorting for decades, Recently our friends at Matthews Ridgeview Farms approached us with a challenge. They needed to increase their plant’s capacity to produce more bagged sweet potatoes. Their existing line featured a 12-lane AccuVision optical sorter feeding a phalanx of AccuFill automatic weight fillers. Several other drops led to XTR100 4-Belt Accumulators which fed other automatic box filling equipment. To add both the required volume and steady flow of product their new bagging machine required, we added a new XTR100 4-Belt EvenFlow Accumulator at the end of one of the existing drops to feed a new bagging station. This offered them the granular control on the volume heading they needed to keep the bagging station operating at the capacities they need. We did all within the existing footprint of the plant, too!
