Sláinte for St. Patrick's Day

Month: March 2025
“The luck of the Irish” is a phrase that, surprisingly, may have originated in California. Some scholars suggest that the phrase derives from the fact that many of the earliest and most successful gold miners in the California gold rush were of Irish origin. We prefer the notion, expressed by other scholars*, that the “luck of the Irish” is found in their appreciation of family, friendship and a good potato dish or three.
And, while we are not Irish, we are Californian and also love family, friends and spuds in all of their glorious varieties. That’s why we work with potato growers, packers and distributors around the world to share their bounty with you. And that’s also why we wish you and yours a Happy St. Patrick’s day. May the ádh mór (that’s good luck) of the Irish be with you!
* Fine, our friend Dr. Juan isn’t a scholar of Irish history, but he is a very smart fellow 🙂
2025 Citrus Showcase in Visalia, CA

Month: March 2025
Exeter Engineering is to the California Citrus Mutual’s 2025 Citrus Showcase next week. The event is just down the road from our home in Exeter, at the Visalia Convention Center. We started working with the citrus industry in 1978 and continue to value those long-time relationships, providing superior equipment for citrus packing operations. If you’re going, stop by and say hello!
